The Fire Museum of Memphis lost one of our best friends May 8, 2016.. An art teacher at Treadwell High School in Memphis, TN for many years and renowned local artist, Helen Stahl, created the print of the original Fire House Number 1, the site of our museum, providing us the “seed money,” in 1993, that gave us, the FMOM, our start. Ms. Stahl was 86 years old and leaves behind many Memphis Fire Department admirers. Our cup runneth over with gratitude for her selfless dedication and support throughout the years... Note: Ms. Stahl's father, Tola, was a Memphis Firefighter who served at the old 1's.
