The Fire Museum of Memphis (FMOM) is in the spotlight as JustMyMemphis continues to countdown toward November 29, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Donate to the Fire Museum of Memphis through #GritGrindGive, held on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), to kick-off the holiday giving season.

Taking part in #GritGrindGive, the FMOM is committed to raise funds for its educational initiative, honoring 20 civilian fire fatalities in Memphis, as well as 75 U.S. Firefighters, including our own Lt. Rodney Eddins, 2016 statistics. None of these individuals, civilian and uniformed firefighters, are mere statistics to us however, but human lives that deserve our commitment to do a better job of preventing. If we can successfully educate to prevent, we can reduce many of the risks involved in the response.

Mark your calendars today and help us continue our free school initiative, including bus transportation reimbursement, saving lives, teaching fire and life safety to our most vulnerable, our children! Thank you, Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence, the City of Memphis, JustMyMemphis, cityCURRENT, New Memphis, Leadership Memphis, Choose901, 901Rocks, Volunteer Odyssey, and the Association for Fundraising Professionals for partnering and choosing the Fire Museum of Memphis to be a part of your wonderful efforts so we can give back!
