  • Dear Museum Patron,

Twenty-two years ago the Fire Museum of Memphis opened its doors. The mission was to use the historic Fire Station #1 to teach fire prevention and safety.

Over these 22 years, the museum has aided Memphis in greatly reducing the number of deaths related to fires. Without the work done by the Fire Museum of Memphis, many more people would not be with us today.

Hundreds of thousands of visitors have walked through the museum and learned valuable lessons including when to call 9-1-1, how to stop, drop and roll, and how to get out alive from a house fire.

After 22 years of service, the museum needs your help to stay well preserved so that we can continue to teach fire and life safety. Buildings, like Fire Station #1, need lots of love and attention to continue to function properly.

You can help keep this HOT attraction in Memphis up and running and saving lives. All you have to do is make a donation to our Preservation 2020 Campaign.

We need to raise: $20,200 in 2020. Funds raised will be used to ensure the museum's buildings are in top shape to fulfill their mission.

You will be able to go to our website: www.firemuseum.com and check on the progress of the campaign between now and December 31, 2020.

Donate $50 and receive a Donor Lapel Pin

Donate $100 and receive a Donor Lapel Pin and a free admission into the museum for four.

Thank you for visiting the museum and your help in keeping it beautiful.

  • The museum is using this down time to see how we can improve! It would be very helpful if you could fill out this survey to let us know how we are doing, as well as where we can improve. Want to see new things at the museum? Now's your chance to share!
