Safety Fest 2015

The Fire Museum hosted its 1st annual Safety Fest to cap off an eventful Fire Prevention Week 2015. Safety Fest was not just about Fire Safety, but Life Safety as well. Members of the Memphis Police and Shelby County Sheriff's Office were on hand with McGruff the Crime Dog to teach our visitors to help take a bite out of crime. And, Memphis Fire Dog, Izzy, got in on the action by chaperoning the whole event. The Fire Museum also awarded our coveted "Turn Out" Trophy to Berclair Elementary School. Congratulations to the Bears for having the having the most students during the 2014-2015 school year learn Fire and Life Safety through field trips to the Musem. Berclair Elementary Teachers, Lashunda Gatewood and Dr. Crystal Cook could not wait to present the trophy to the Bears. Berclair will keep the award until Fire Prevention Week, 2016!
