The Fire Museum of Memphis will host the 25th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony of 9/11 on Friday, September 11, 2026. Service begins at 0830 AM, but it is highly recommended that you arrive early as we are expecting hundreds of people to attend. The museum will offer free admission on that day and our gift shop will feature commemorative items. Light refreshments will be served afterward. Please join us and remember those who died in the attacks on America on September 11, 2001.

Fire Communications Bureau

Original Fire Alarm Office was located behind Fire Headquarters at 65 S. Front Street. It was closed in 1961.
Fire Communications was located on the first floor of Armour Center from 1961 to August 2019.

The Fire Communications Bureau is located in the Claude A. Armour Center at 79 Flicker Street in midtown Memphis. It is housed in the same room as Memphis Police Communications.

Fire Communications moved from a building behind old Fire Headquarters at 65 S. Front Street into Armour Center in 1961.
