Help restore a one-of-a-kind piece of history

The Fire Museum of Memphis proudly owns a 1910 American LaFrance Insurance Salvage Corp truck. The VIN on this apparatus is 11. Currently, there are no trucks like this on display in museums. We want to change that. With your help, we can restore this piece of Memphis History to its original shiny glory.

Restoring professionals have estimated this restoration to cost $150,000.

Until the Fire Museum brought her home, the 1910 truck, affectionately known as Lucy, was used to press grapes at a local winery here in Memphis. In a testament to American workmanship, if she had gas and oil in her, the engine would still crank today, 114 years after her debut.

This fantastic piece of history needs your help to become all she can be. Please consider giving what you can to help us restore this one-of-a-kind piece of fire history. All funds raised will go directly to the restoration.
