Fire Engine House No. 1

The Fire Museum of Memphis is here to promote the education of fire and life safety, to reduce injury, life-loss and property-loss related to fire and to recognize and preserve the heritage of the fire service and its contribution to the community.

Hours

Monday - Saturday:
9:00am-4:30pm**

Sunday:
Closed with the exception of pre-booked private birthday parties.

Location

The Fire Museum is located in the renovated Fire Engine House #1 at 118 Adams Avenue in Downtown Memphis.

** There will be no admittance to the museum later than 3:30 p.m. This ensures that you have enough time to see at least the majority of the museum. We realize that this may be inconvenient for some and it may make some visitors less than happy with the museum. However, we want to make sure that our visitors have the best experience possible when visiting the museum. We also want to make sure that our staff has adequate time to properly close down the museum at the end of the day. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
