The Fire Museum of Memphis will host its first major event of 2026 on Saturday, April 18th from 7AM to 4PM. Our 2026 YARD SALE AND AUCTION will feature thousands of surplus items that the museum is disposing of. We have outgrown our storage space at the museum. We have ample supplies of most of these items and now we want to offer them to our members, other collectors and fire buffs in general.
Our specific goal is to raise enough money to add at least two new exhibits and repair a few others. While we are offering some great items at reasonable prices, we keep in mind that we're not having a discount sale, but a fundraiser for the museum. Our sale is being advertised nationally, so we expect to see buffs and collectors from outside of the Memphis area, as well. The event will be held on the second floor of the museum in the banquet hall. Additionally, the museum will be open for tours, the gift shop will be having some specials, and food and beverage vendors will be on site. The night before our sale, on Friday, April 17th, there is a special 2-hour pre-sale from 5-7 PM FOR RED DOOR MEMBERS ONLY. Our auction will close at 3PM on Saturday with winners announced by 4PM.
