This is a fantastic opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of Memphis's fire service.

The tour will start at the Tennessee Air National Guard Fire Station at Memphis International Airport. Fire and support apparatus from the Air Guard, FedEx, and Memphis Fire Department will be available to observe and photograph.

Next, we travel to the Memphis Fire Department's new state-of-the-art Fire Headquarters building on Avery Avenue. Here, you will be greeted by members of the command staff and given an extensive tour of the new facility. If time permits, we will also visit the new Fire Department Recruiting Center next door.

Then, we travel a few miles down Union Avenue to Fire Station 11, which was built in 1942 and has just had a complete renovation.

After Station 11, we go to Historic Beale Street, where you can have lunch at the restaurant of your choice.  Beale Street is one of the city's cultural hotspots. Here, you will have the opportunity to sample some of the city's famous barbecue and enjoy the lively atmosphere that makes Beale St. such a beloved destination.

You will have the chance to speak with the experts who work in the shop and ask questions about the tools and techniques that they use to keep the city's firefighting apparatus in top condition.

With this being the last stop of the bus tour, we will depart and return to the Crown Plaza Hotel.
